DO’s and DON’TS
DMSO ON THE SKIN (TOPICALLY)
*Even full strength DMSO can be used below the waist, but be careful about a too strong solution above 70% above the waist. The upper body seems to be more sensitive to strong applications and although it is not dangerous, the worst that could happen is a redness and itchiness, lasting a few days.
*People with a very fair skin and light hair color seems to be even more sensitive to a strong DMSO solution. It is far better to start with a weak solution – it works just as well, just a bit slower.
*Never use the wrapping technique above the waist.
*When applying DMSO to the skin, make sure the area is clean and free of, for example mosquito repellent containing DEET. Remember, DMSO is a transporter and will take anything on the skin at the area of application, into the body!
*DMSO is perfectly safe to use on babies, small children and animals, but in diluted forms only.
*It is not recommended to use DMSO internally when pregnant, however I have found DMSO can very safely be used topically without harm to mother or baby.
TAKING DMSO ORALLY
*Always drink DMSO in about 1/2 cup (4 oz or 110ml) of juice or water – NEVER take it neat.
*Only take DMSO as recommended! More will not be better or do the work quicker!
GENERAL
You may notice a strange odour emanating from anyone taking DMSO. Personally, I do not think it is a bad odour, just difficult to place. The odour is a combination of too much garlic and seafood. I am experimenting at the moment to see whether Spirulina, with a high chlorophyll content, will dampen the smell. Will report on this when I have an answer!
