DMSO – ASTHMA
The large majority of us do not even give breathing a second thought. We do not have to, except when we have a bad cold or some kind of lung infection! What we so carelessly take for granted, is exactly what governs an asthma sufferer’s life – when every breath becomes a struggle and your life line is your inhaler – absolutely nothing else matters!
Something as seemingly innocuous as emotional stress, pollen or a change in temperature can elicit an extreme response. Once an asthma attack has been triggered breathing becomes laboured, mucous is secreted, and there is a respiratory inflammation causing swelling of the tissues with excess carbon dioxide accumulating in your system.
Medications like PREDNISONE “works” symptomatically by virtue of its anti-inflammatory effect, while actually exacerbating the person’s underlying problems. Many asthma and allergy medications contain Sodium Benzoate – a big no no! Allergy shots will also increase the severity of asthma attacks.
TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR DIET
ALL food additives – including natural flavouring, MSG, food colorings such as tartrazine (yellow dye number 5) MUST BE AVOIDED! Vegetables that have been treated with pesticides should also be avoided. This is not always practical unless you have access to organic vegetables.
The following should be avoided as much as possible
ALL salad dressings, mayonnaise and store sauces
ALL fried foods including any kind of margarine or processed “butter”. Your plain salted or unsalted butter is the best! (NO – it will not add to your cholesterol problem!)
ALL nuts and nut butters or spreads
ALL fruit and fruit juices. Sugar is a huge contributor in asthma sufferers.
DAIRY PRODUCTS – except for butter, keep all dairy products such as yogurt and milk (if you must) to an absolute minimum if you cannot avoid it!
Drastically decrease your carbohydrate intake (potatoes, rice, pastas, breads, cakes etc.) Your body is screaming for more protein – Eat more eggs, meat, fish or take Spirulina (a very good source of protein).
INCREASE your intake of steamed or raw vegetables.
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
Acute asthma attack – This could happen anywhere, anytime! If you are prone to regular attacks, I recommend you carry with you or have close at hand a small supply of Magnesium Chloride This has to be pure (not combined with anything else!).
An attack can go from zero to bad very quickly! Take a bit of Magnesium Chloride on the tip of a teaspoon (1/8th of a teaspoon) and dissolve in a half a cup of warm water. Drink this while comfortably sitting down and wait for breathing to return to normal. In most cases it should only take about 15 minutes.
CANNABIS in the TREATMENT of ASTHMA
Although cannabis works as a bronchodilator, smoking is not recommended. Beneficial cannabinoids are contained in combusted cannabis, but the smoke also contains numerous other compounds (like the burning paper) that aggravate the airway.
Correctly extracted THC combined with DMSO and taken sublingually will have a remarkable result in opening the airways. This method is also beneficial as maintaining good lung function on a long-term basis.
Please note that taking THC in any other form for asthma sufferers, for example vaping, smoking and edibles are highly discouraged! With all the synthetic marijuana on the market today, extreme care should be taken! Know where your cannabis comes from and learn to distinguish the difference between real and synthetic!
